Each morning/afternoon children are greeted at the door by staff, they each have their own coat peg where they can hang up their belongings.
 

They are then lead to the quiet corner where they have the opportunity to share any news with their peers, sing songs,  discuss the weather, colour and shape of the month.
 

Stay 'n' Play follow the Montessori approach which encourages self-directed play, however there are also tables set up for children who prefer set activities and for craft work.  
 

Once the children have played they sit down at tables to have their snack.  (If the children are in the afternoon session they may bring a packed lunch to eat a snack time if preferred).
 

Following snack the children end their session back at the quiet corner to listen to a story and discuss the things they done at stay 'n' play.

Throughout the year Stay 'n' Play discuss holidays with the children and they have the opportunity to participate in themed crafts which relate. Children also put on a small Christmas show each year and the older children can participate in the Stay 'n' Play graduation prior to their transition to their new school.
